For this assignment I was able to look through some of my older photos and find a more interesting from the ground up shot then the ones that I took. As soon as I saw this photo I knew that I wanted to pull the colors out of the lava lamps and keep everything else in black and white. So some easy photoshping turned out to be a pretty cool photo in my opinion.

For this week, I took a picture of a windchime that my teacher made from computer parts. It's hanging outside the door, and it was a sunny day. The original picture was too dark to tell what any of those were, so I adjusted the levels to make the dark parts black. And make the lighter parts darker a little also. I put a filter on it i think to make the colors cooler. I really like how this picture turned out.

Afternoon In the Park

Photo Chris Gaul

I took this photo at blue park downtown Puyallup while I was sitting in the kiddy pool while it was empty. I’m most proud of the way I captured the grass and the sky because those two colors go great together. I did get some lens flare in the tree which is what the purple dot is, but I think the photo is really good and the problem was I only took one picture of it. I did go into photo shop and saturate the photo a little just to add a bit more color.

I took this picture in Seattle, obviously since it's of the Space Needle. It was in the middle of the night so I had to use the flash on my camera and took several shots. I didn't do any editing to it except add the words to make it look like a postcard.

For this assignment we were to take pictures of "still life". I believe this was the best shot of all the ones that I had. I took many different shots, and I am most proud of this one. The original I think was in color, but I think it looked better as a black and white picture. I zoomed in because I thought that it looked better if you didn't see the whole plate of fruit. I especially like how there is an apple and a pear in focus in front. And how the other pieces are in the background. The only thing that I don't like is how the pear's stem is so prominent.

I took this picture for my still life assignment. I like how in focus it is, and I think it looks better black and white rather than in color. I took a variety of pictures but ended up liking this one best.

We had a fences theme, so I have this garden in my yard with an old fence around it. I tried different angles and I liked this one the best. I really like how it’s a fence theme, but it has some sky in it. Overall I’m happy with it.

This is actually an old photo from last year that I was experimenting with. I used one of those Photoshop add-on frames and changed the hue and saturation to give it a weird film look. I love it but it could be better with a different photo.

When I took this photo I had no theme that I was trying to capture but this one turned out best of the bunch. Unfortunately, this was an action shot so I couldn't take a lot of photos with different points in focus like I would have liked to. The original picture was a little bland so I adjusted the lighting and saturation to get a more vibrant color, I then sharpened the hair that was in focus to make it stand out a bit more.
