With this photo I tried to get the motion of water to be shown going around a few objects in the water. My original photo was in color but I found to be more creative in black and white which I changed by using photoshop. The way the picture turned out I believe was wonderful, with the motion of water around the can and miscellaneous wood that was stationary in the stream. All together this photo came out just the way I wanted it to.

I took this photo in a greenhouse I used to work in. It was for a close up assignment last year and I just ran with it. I obviously doctored it up. So here’s how I did it… First I inverted the picture (made it a negative.) After that I did what I call ‘bringing out’ the intelligence of a flower. I simply did that by messing with hue and saturation. I guess sometimes things just work.

I took this in Tacoma at Point Defiance Park, for the Spring assignment last year. I was experimenting with different shots with flowers and I like how this one turned out. Although I think it might be a little too close

I took this picture for an assignment on Spring. I went out and took several pictures of flowers in all different angles. I like this picture the best because of the angle and the coloring. I zoomed in a lot and got really close which made the daisy look bigger. The only thing I wish I did in this picture is made sure the background was more in focus, it’s a little blurry.

I took this photo when I was in Seattle at about 1 in the morning. I was actually just messing around and didn’t expect this picture to turn out as well as it did. If you look at the farthest lights, you can see a zigzag line which I thought was really interesting and gave it an artistic feel. Also, I changed the picture to black and white to give it more of an edge, and it looked better with the blur of the lights.

I took this portrait on accident; we were just trying to pass time taking funny pictures, and this shot kind of stood out. The great thing about this picture is its so simple but somehow captures who she is….I love it.

I chose this picture because I like the color and texture. It’s a close up of the parking lot at school. It had rained earlier and I think that’s what made the colors and textures pop out. I wish it was just a little more in focus around the edges.

Last year we did an assignment where we had to take pictures of a game. So I played around with some dice and took pictures of different colored dice and I really liked this one. I like how some of the dice are out of focus a little, but the ones in the middle aren’t. I also like how the white dice contrasts with the black background.

This is a close up of the underside of a mushroom. I like the detail of the spores and delineation between the light side and the shadow side.
