For our Holiday Theme's assignment I had my mom drive me around so I could get a variety of different pictures. The one I chose to print was of a yard that had a blow-up snowman in the middle with a row of lights going around just the outside of the lawn. But I really like how this picture turned our because while I was taking the picture I zoomed in and out so it gave it a nice effect. Then in Photoshop CS3 I used the filter gallery and I stylized it with glowing edges. Overall I'm very happy with this picture, the snowman looks distorted and you can't tell what it is and the way the house looks almost as if it is getting pulled in.

In this photo I tried to capture the reflection of the lamp in the water. I accomplished that and then edited it in Photoshop CS3. I saturated the reflection and de-saturated everything around it to make the reflection stand out more. This photo came out better than I thought it would.

This photo was taken in the fall of my sophomore year at P.H.S. for the rule of thirds assignment. I chose this picture because I wanted to choose one of my more simple pictures for this blog. Even though I am satisfied with the picture I wish that I would have had a better knowledge about photography and taken a few more shots that I know could have turned out better.

Tears of a Flower

I took this photo early in the morning to get a shot of the dew droplets on the petals. It came out so good that I barely had to do anything to it in Photoshop. All I did was add a little saturation at about a 17% flow to make the colors come out a little more. I also cropped it because there was a lot of empty space in the left side of the photo. I think this photo came out great, I wish I would’ve taken more like it when I had the chance.

I took this photo the night my brother, my mom and I were decorating our Christmas tree. It was taken as a close up for my holiday theme assignment and I’m really impressed with the way it turned out. I had to take a lot of the same shots to try and get the main subject in focus and the branches out of focus. In Photoshop I just brightened it up a bit so it stood out more, nothing drastic or anything. The ornament could’ve been in focus a little more, but who’s perfect, right?

I took this picture late one night at the Puyallup train station down town. For the most part I’m very happy with the way the shot turned out. The lighting was perfect. I didn’t have to do anything with it in Photoshop. The one thing I wish was different with the picture is I wish I would have been standing in the middle of the tracks, it would have made the photo a lot more interesting.

I took this picture in my front yard, and the objective was to get a close up picture. I chose this picture because I think it has a lot of character. It’s framed and it shows depth of field really well.

This is a picture I took of a leaf for our close-ups assignment. I really like how this picture turned out because it was in the morning and the frost was still on the grass and the leaves on the ground. To improve this picture, I wouldn't change anything about the actual picture but I would have spent more time on this assignment, because I probably could have gotten a better picture. I keep doing these assignments at the last minute and my best pictures that come out are leaves. I didn't do much adjustments to this, but I tried to do auto levels but nothing happened so I just left it the same.
