For this assignment we were to take pictures of "still life". I believe this was the best shot of all the ones that I had. I took many different shots, and I am most proud of this one. The original I think was in color, but I think it looked better as a black and white picture. I zoomed in because I thought that it looked better if you didn't see the whole plate of fruit. I especially like how there is an apple and a pear in focus in front. And how the other pieces are in the background. The only thing that I don't like is how the pear's stem is so prominent.

I took this picture for my still life assignment. I like how in focus it is, and I think it looks better black and white rather than in color. I took a variety of pictures but ended up liking this one best.

We had a fences theme, so I have this garden in my yard with an old fence around it. I tried different angles and I liked this one the best. I really like how it’s a fence theme, but it has some sky in it. Overall I’m happy with it.

This is actually an old photo from last year that I was experimenting with. I used one of those Photoshop add-on frames and changed the hue and saturation to give it a weird film look. I love it but it could be better with a different photo.

When I took this photo I had no theme that I was trying to capture but this one turned out best of the bunch. Unfortunately, this was an action shot so I couldn't take a lot of photos with different points in focus like I would have liked to. The original picture was a little bland so I adjusted the lighting and saturation to get a more vibrant color, I then sharpened the hair that was in focus to make it stand out a bit more.

Technicolor Transition

I took this photo in class during a demonstration. I took the photo into Photoshop and auto-leveled it and auto-colored it. Then I de-saturated the whole photo and used the history brush tool to bring back the color of one of the apples and the two sides of the green mat the plate was on. The two of the apples that I didn’t bring the color back in are out of focus and I wish I could have gotten them in focus. Overall I think this photo came out alright.

I decided to find the highest hill I could find in Bellevue one day and was able to come up with this shot. I did do some work with it in photo shop how ever. I messed with the colors a lot and gave it a kinda of green tint to it, I also sharpened the edges to bring the city out more. Other than that all I really did was crop it to get the excess sky and ground out of the shot.

For this shot I used my little brother's cards that I knocked over. I thought that it would make a good shot. I really like the way I got the lines in this shot. And I like how just the front of the stack of cards are in focus and it gets blurrier as it gets further back.

For this picture I used a 15 second shutter speed. I really like this shot but I wish that I could have made the background a little less cluttered. When I was in Photoshop I starting changing the different levels of exposure and light to get the final shot that you see here.

I took this photo in hopes of trying to make him mad, but as you can tell, it did the exact opposite. I like the fact that part of his head is out of the picture because I think it makes it more interesting to look at. Mainly all I did was change the picture to black and white and then mess with the shadows. Enjoy.

I took this picture at Alder Lake on a drive to the mountains. This one stood out to me though. I was using the Auto setting but it looks almost like a black and white picture. I didn’t do anything with this in Photoshop, it’s all original. It’s a simple picture, in an isolated area.

Shout Out

I took this picture when I was driving around downtown Bellevue. The original picture wasn’t as good as I would have like it to be, so Mr. Photoshop and I messed with it a bit. The tower and statue weren’t completely vertical. I messed with that to get it straight. Then I cropped the photo a couple of times to get everything lined up how I wanted it, after that I removed the shadow off of the statue’s left side to bring more attention to it. And finally I finished it off with the saturation to get a nice color for the sky. Overall I am satisfied with how this picture turned out.

This is a photo of a pin that I got from my dad. It is from the era of Guns and Roses and I like the band so I thought this would be a good photo. I set it up with differently lighting and I finally got this shot. I am really proud of the way it came out because all i had to do was use auto color and auto levels and do a little saturating in Photoshop to help make the colors "pop". There is a little fuzziness at the bottom at the pin and all I would have to have done to fix it is move the camera down a little and re-focus the lens.

I chose to put this picture on the blog because I think it’s unique, I did some work on it in Photoshop obviously, but I accidentally lost the original copy so all I had to work with was my black and white copy but I think it turned out ok. I like the look the black and white gives it but I also like the extra something that the lights give it.
