This is a photo of my friend Scott that I took at the Orting skate park. I’m not sure what trick he’s doing, but it’s over the pyramid. This was a difficult shot to get because I was doing a sequence shot, and kept getting a picture of him right before the trick and then when he landed it. It was a sunny day so the color turned out good. All together I’m proud of this picture.

I took this picture at my house, just seeing if I could get a good shot of the piano because I thought it would look neat. I really like this picture other than the glare from the lights. I think it’s an interesting angle.

I took this picture this summer when I went on vacation to Long Beach. It was a lot of fun. My mom’s boyfriend and his friend decided they wanted to race the Go-carts. I just happened to have my camera with me and took a picture, not thinking it would even turn out to be a picture I would use in class. But I think it turned out pretty good. I like how the first go-cart looks like its going really fast.

I took this picture in downtown Puyallup while I was waiting for my ride. I got bored and started taking pictures of everything. I like this photo because it follows the rule of thirds, and also because the colors are really vibrant.

I took this picture while doing the review of Elements of Composition assignment. I needed a “fill the frame” picture and since there isn’t a lot around my school I found a leaf on the ground by itself. I played around with the colors a little, but nothing looked better than an auto adjustment. I didn’t think I would end up posting this one so I wasn’t that worried about how it turned out. However, I think it would have turned out to be a better picture if my shadow wasn’t so prominent.

With this photo I tried to capture the sunset at the lake. The way I took the picture, the sun is in the upper left portion of the photo. This leads you to the left side where there is a fishing dock which ended up being the main subject of the photo. I used Photoshop to sharpen the image to make the sky more vibrant. Overall the photo came out pretty good and I’m happy with it.

I use a Canon A620 when I am out mountain biking in the Cascades. For this picture I placed the camera on a convenient rock and set it to Manual and self-timer to 2 seconds. I set the aperture to f/8 and varied the shutter speed -- actually liking this one best which is about -1 stop below what the meter said. Haven't worked on this in Photoshop yet but when I do I plan to get rid of that little stick in the middle foreground.
