This photo was taken in the fall of my sophomore year at P.H.S. for the rule of thirds assignment. I chose this picture because I wanted to choose one of my more simple pictures for this blog. Even though I am satisfied with the picture I wish that I would have had a better knowledge about photography and taken a few more shots that I know could have turned out better.

I am notorious for liking photos with a lot of empty space and not much concrete subject. This picture is no exception. I think all the empty space actually makes this picture, and that if the shoes had taken up much more of the shot it would not have been as good. Excellent judgment call

lol i am notorious for not liking alot of empty space. however because of the simplistic subject this pic could go either way. if the shot had less blue the rule of thirds would still apply and that is really what makes the shot. however a highlight/shadow adjustment might add to the subject

This is a very interesting picture; I have never seen a picture like this before. It is very creative! Good job.

the idea of the shot itself is a good idea. but i think there is just to much empty space. maybe your should of focused more on just the shoes and then croped more of the sky out.

Even though this picture is plain and doesn’t have a lot going on. I really like it. The color of sky and the wires color looks really good together.

I really like the idea of this picture. With so much background it makes you go off focus of the main subject. If anything, I would’ve made the power lines and shoes more close-up and used a flash to capture the color more.

This is pretty cool picture. Not only is it simple, but the color of the sky is perfect.

I really like this picture because the shoes are in the thirds rule and the sky has is a great color for the background.
