For this assignment I was able to look through some of my older photos and find a more interesting from the ground up shot then the ones that I took. As soon as I saw this photo I knew that I wanted to pull the colors out of the lava lamps and keep everything else in black and white. So some easy photoshping turned out to be a pretty cool photo in my opinion.

Coloring photos are fun. I like the angle used in this shot. The background is a bit distracting though. If you at least moved the fan it would’ve helped avoid that and gave the subject more attention. The bottoms of the lamps are a little out of focus. I think there’s potential to do some cool things with the lava lamps but I’m not sure you quite captured it yet. It might be fun to play around in a dark room and just have the lamps lit up, glowing.

THIS...IS...GREAT! I love the colors and how they stand out in picture. Though I might be a little bias when it comes to this picture, mainly because I had an idea exactly like this. The only thing i wish u were able to change is the color of the base. I think it is blending in to much with background.

i think this came out very well. pulling the colors back into the photo was a good choice. i also like the angle of the picture.

I like this picture. I like how you made the background black and white yet leaving the lava lamps in color. This is a nice composition because the shot is from an upward angle giving more height to the lava lamps.

I really like how the colors make the shot come alive. You masked it well. There isn't really too much to be said, I like it.

I think this is a pretty interesting shot. I really like how the color of the lava lamps stand out against the gray scale background. I like the perspective of this image also. It makes the lava lamps look larger than they actually are. Awesome shot! SPHS

i really like how you kept the colors in the lamps. however the background is really distracting. my focus does not go directly to the lamps. i think you should have moved some of that stuff out of the background. but other than that, you did a great job!

This photo is really cool. The color is amazing, especially how it contrasts with the black and white! The stuff in the background (the lamp) is a little bit distracting though.
Nice job.

this is not a good picture, the color selection on the lava lamps creates a really amateurish look and the fact that you didnt leave your room to take a photo really dampens the whole thing even more.
